yes indeed ! as bob suggested craigslist is another GREAT place to look. and here is one more i thought of Garage Sales. you would be suprised how many ex-wives have ex-hubby's left behind tools laid out on a table ready for sale. i once picked up a greenlee quickdraw knockout set for 30 dollars. i cant even recall all the meters and drills i have bought and handed down to apprentices over the years. not to mention the really good finds like klien tools bought and never used for weekend warrior projects. you gotta love those guys (weekend warriors ) with the money to dream and a lack of desire to wake up on saturday mornings.

nothing wrong with using commercial electric tool bought at home depot, i have been in the trade for 36yrs and started using thier pliers, they are half the price of kliens and if for some stupid reason use might blow them up at least they are only 17.00 rather than 36.00-40.00 at least it will get you started again.

OK, let me preface my comment by saying no offense intended here. In the Help wanted section, there are 9 posting with ONLY 2 replies to them, but in the Introduce yourself thread or in the looking for work by state, there appear to be lots of people out there looking for work. So I have to ask "What gives guys???" I posted a help wanted in both the Introduce section and under help wanted. I got 3 replies. All from out of state people. While I have no problem hiring someone from out of town, I am reluctant to ask anyone to relocate, when you don't know whether they are going to work out or not. So I am wondering; for all of you that are unemployed, are you looking at our postings? Or are you waiting for something to come to you?

So many companies now seem to be about production over quality. I've learned that if everything is planned right on a job, you don't need to worry too much about production. I've been on jobs where the foreman worried about production and made the workers look for hours for material that he should know whether or not he has and where it is, and I've been on jobs where we didn't closely watch production and the time spent on planning more than made up for production. This just shows that production is really just a guideline and a little planning goes a long way for exeeding production with efficiency.
I hear you on the too old (I'm in my 50's) and over qualified (I have over 35 yrs. experience as a licensed electrician)...makes it real hard to get hired - most contractors want younger electricians with a lot less experience (so they can pay them a lot less - of course) ....which is why I started my own company years ago.

Would be interested in seeing a list of what you have for power tools.......always looking to add to my tool list.

	Best Wishes,
